With February 14th getting closer by the second, a very lonely Melvin was beginning to realize that he might have to spend Valentines Day without a date! He wasn’t about to have any of that, so he decided it was off to the craft store, and time to get creative!
When he got home, he realized he had everything he needed to make a date for him, and a craft for you!
For every Hershey Kisses Gerbil that you would like to make… You Will Need….
- 2 Hershey Kisses
- 2 Googly Eyes
- Red Paper
- Brown Paper (We recycled a brown paper bag!)
- Any sort of string that you have (we used hemp)
- Non-Toxic Glue
- Scissors
Step 1: Cut two small ears out of the brown paper, and two small “ears” out of the red paper. Remember: Gerbils ears are slightly rounded!
Step 2: Glue the small red “ears” into the middle of the large brown ears.
Step 3: Glue each of the ears onto the flat side of a Hershey’s Kiss – relatively close together!
Step 4: Glue the flat sides of the Hershey’s Kisses together.
Step 5: Glue the Googly Eyes into place on the front Hershey’s Kiss.
Step 6: On the back Hershey’s Kiss, glue a short string in place of a nail.
Step 7: Share with your friends!
